1. Digital product refund policy
Digital products sold by Remote Bookkeeping include downloadable templates, checklists, trackers, guides, spreadsheets, prompt packs, and other files.
Because digital products can be accessed, copied, downloaded, and used immediately, all digital product sales are generally final once download access has been provided or the file has been downloaded.
We do not offer refunds simply because a customer changed their mind, purchased the wrong product, did not read the description, expected a custom service, or decided they no longer need the product.
2. When we may review a digital product refund request
We may review a digital product refund request if there is a clear issue that appears to come from our side.
- The download link does not work
- The ZIP file cannot be opened after reasonable troubleshooting
- A required file listed in the product description is missing
- The wrong file was delivered
- The file is corrupted or unusable due to a technical issue from our side
- You were charged more than once for the same product by mistake
If one of these issues occurs, contact us and we will investigate. Depending on the issue, we may provide a replacement file, restore download access, send the correct file, fix the issue, or consider a refund if we cannot resolve the problem.
3. What is not eligible for a digital product refund
The following situations are generally not eligible for a refund:
- You changed your mind after purchase
- You purchased the wrong product
- You did not read the product description before buying
- You expected personal support, coaching, tax advice, CPA review, or custom bookkeeping work
- You no longer need the product
- You do not have the software needed to open or edit the file
- You downloaded the product and later decided it was not a good fit
- You expected the product to replace a bookkeeper, accountant, CPA, or tax professional

4. Download access and file issues
If you cannot access your download, please contact us with your order number, email used at checkout, product name, and a brief description of the issue.
We may ask for screenshots or error details so we can investigate the problem. If the issue is caused by our system, missing files, corrupted files, or incorrect delivery, we will make a reasonable effort to fix it.
Please do not file a payment dispute before giving us a chance to investigate a technical issue.
5. Bookkeeping service refund policy
Remote bookkeeping services are handled business by business because each client may have different records, software, timelines, meetings, access requirements, and service needs.
Before starting service work, we may review your needs, discuss the scope, confirm expectations, and agree on the type of support needed.
Refunds for bookkeeping services are not automatic. They are reviewed case by case based on the service agreement, work already completed, meetings held, time spent, access provided, deliverables prepared, and the specific facts of the situation.
6. Service cancellations
If you need to cancel a bookkeeping service, contact us as soon as possible.
If work has not started and no meeting, review, setup, or preparation has been completed, we may be able to cancel or adjust the service arrangement.
If work has already started, any refund or credit will be reviewed based on the work completed, time spent, and terms agreed before service began.
7. Consulting, meetings, and custom work
Some bookkeeping services may include meetings, review time, setup time, research, planning, file review, cleanup planning, reporting, or custom work.
Once time has been spent on meetings, review, preparation, setup, or custom service work, that portion of the service may not be refundable.

- Confirm that you have the software needed to open or edit the files
For digital products, asking questions before purchase is important because refunds may not be available after download access is provided.

- Order number

- Description of the issue
- Screenshots or error messages, if applicable

10. Payment disputes and chargebacks
